I used to live in NYC between the years of 2015 - end of 2023. During the pandemic, I learned how to DJ and produce electronic music. There was a lively underground party scene. I became obsessed with the underground. I wanted to be behind the decks more than I wanted to be on the dancefloor, so I pursued any opportunity I could get to learn and practice. Eventually, I ended up DJ-ing bars/restaurants/clubs on an almost weekly basis between 2020-2023. Now, I DJ occassionally, mostly for special events, not because I don’t love it but because I wanted to focus on making music that I could perform live with band members.
